Important Decision for Workers' Compensation by Texas Supreme Court

"It's official. No cause of action for bad faith exists for denial of a Texas Workers' Compensation claim. The Texas Supreme Court withdrew its earlier opinion in the Ruttiger v. TMIC case and issued the opinion at the link above. In dicta, the Supreme Court did leave intact a cause of action against an insurance carrier for misrepresentation of an insurance policy."
